toothbrush and plenty of carby cleaner. clean everything - runners, TB, plenum, take of the IACV and FITV as well. screw the plunger back in on the FITV.

a rubber mallet might come in handy to slowly tap the thing off once all the bolts are loose too -

ok so spraying some of the carby cleaner inside the manifold wont damage it?

what if water and degreaser accidently gets inside the manifold?

would there be any problems on startup?

drain all the water out, make sure there is nothing left inside before you fit it again.

i used my mums hairdryer to dry out the manifold once i finished washing it out with a hose after drilling and tapping some holes in it...

the manifold was off the car of course...
