Rattle on short shifter returns

a few months ago i purchased a b&m short shifter for my ITR. After i installed it i was extremely happy, then a month or so later it started rattling, i found it due to the o-rings supplied in the kit were not fat enough and they wore back after this time, anyway to rectify this i put the stock o-rings on the short shifter. Everything was sweet until a couple of weeks ago because now i can hear noise again, granted its not as bad but its progressively getting worse. Its like a vibration noise anyway. Would there be a way to rectify the problem permanently because its really starting to giive me the shits and i dont want to be changing rubber orings every 3 months just to keep my short shifter. i am getting to the point where i wanna put the stock shifter in even though i love the shorter throw.

why did you fit a short-shifter to your type R ? was it shorter ?

or dont AUS type R's have the OEM short shifter ?

yeh the short shifter is heaps shorter than the stock ITR one, in physical height and the throw length
