Expect to pay around $400aust for a good conversion harness once that is soldered, crimped and shrink wrapped, its the only way for your power FC. Hondata on the other hand has full plug and play ECUs available for both obd1 obd2a and obd2b. Its up to you which way you go.
Stay away from cheap harness’s as they have a tendency to break and short out sesnors and destroy ECU’s

i know ur the seller of hondata james haha but umm wat is the diff between the power fc and hondata s200...i was tossing up between the 2...and i got quoted for the power fc 1300 with the controller... so i guess an extra 400 to that...whats the price on the s200?for my model?

The difference is mainly all in the tuner or more the ability of the ECU of how the tuner interacts with the ECU, Tuning with a hand controller on PowerFC sucks, its not even in real time, Iv tuned many power Fc on skylines/wrx’s fairly regularly, actually iv been playing around with PowerFC’s for almost as long as Hondata, back with the 99 sti WRX

Anyway the s200 most certainly does have more tune ability and more features than the powerFC, the PowerFC is you have the laptop software is much better than a hand controller but still doesn’t have features like datalogging, launch control, full throttle shift, nor the tuning resolution. The s200 plug and play obd2b is RRP (Cost via PM contact me if you want to know..) The decision is totally up to you.

Most good harness sell for $150 to $200 USd that’s around $400aust

By the time you order it from over sea’s

Pay bank fee’s for international money orders or credit card transfer fees
Pay for shipping costs to get it out here ASAP $50USd fedex
Insurance so the shipment doesn’t go missing
Import duty clearance fee
Call up the seller to make sure he’s real, and is’t going to studge you (Never trust email)
Pay GST on the item + shipping

You will find you have bugger all change left out of $400.00

at $150USD
at .76c Exchange Rate
Domestic cost of Item in = $200AUD
Shipping overestimate 10% = $20AUD
GST 10% = $20AUD
You're looking at $250max, landed.

If you buy in quantity, you can get them for even less.

I think someones profit margins need to be revised.

Fact is a good quality harness is still 150 – 200 us regardless you need to get it into the country. Remember this is’t a for sale post it’s a information post ;) but sure evan why don’t you go into importing harness business ;)

I can get them for even less than that.

and remember, no customs duty on items under $200AUD, especially when they're for race use.

Ok back to your question a conversion harness if you buy direct yourself from the States will cost $150-200 AUD if you shop around and that then gives you the flexibilty to use either a Power FC or Hondata or any other OBD1 ECU .It then comes down to what ever you want as with the Power FC you can go to any dyno tuner but the Hondata can only be tuned by an authorised installer/tuner.

also i heard if i do end up goin with power fc then it wont cost as much to tune where as the hondata will cost a bit more..

its a pretty hard decision..one im gonna have to think about and perhaps get some ppls opinions on..
