might be a stupid question but is it possible to black house the dc2 integra headlights (4 eyed ones)?
if so would the lights still be bright enough to shine through?
and has anyone got any pictures?
thanks :)

i cant wait till you get rear ended.
Just picture the cop walking up tot he scene giving you a huge ticket, and then you calling your insurance company only to find that there not going to cover you cause u are driving a defectable car.
Thats gonna sting when you gotta pay money for the person who has rear ended you. Oh wells what do i know, i guess looks is better over safety.
there seem to be an abundance of idiots in the 16 - 19 age group, Australia's drinking water must have had lead in it for a while.
oh shut up.... whys everyone got a complaint to make about another persons car.. its his car let him do what he wants

cause it affects everyone else thats driving around on the roads, i dont wanna get into an accident cause of him
Fair enough. But if you read what he has said. You can see them pretty well.

u will get a canary. My mate did but you can get shit to take the tint off. You could try arguing that you dont drive at night at all and you might get away with it... know someone who tinted his headlight covers and he takes them off to drive at night so he didnt get defected.
My advice - just dont crash :]

good generalisation mr i-know-everything...
honestly its his car, and if he chooses to do tint his lights then so be it...
nearly every single car has some sort of defect on it..
why take out your pms of 16-19 year olds, is it because you never had a nice car when you were young?
everyone picks on young drivers of nice cars enough as it is. I have had enough..
keep your negative opinions to yourself mate.

its not a generalisation though mate, its road safety. they have laws for a reason.
stop being so selfish and think of other drivers out there.

I agree it looks nice though that is a definite defect. NSW laws and for probably most of the rest of the world requires reflectors at the rear. By tinting it that dark, reflectors does not show and in the dark when your car is parked it could easily cause accidents.
The last thing you want to happen is to be involved in an accident bcoz someone can't see you.
You should think of the consequences before doing something, or maybe you just have to learn it the hard way.
Good luck to not get defected.
anyone got pics of their tinted corners and side markers?
yehh i tinted my side markers.. lol i hated the orange. u can see it on my pic in my vbgarage.. sort of

kool... thx... i'm planing to tint my clear ones... because i don't think its possible to give them black housing.
If you need reflectors in your lights?
doesn't that mean black housing is illegal too?

well, the main thing is you have to have reflectors that you can visually see the light reflecting from it at day and night hence, that's why it's called reflectors and they are there for one reason - "SAFETY".
there are aftermarket housings that have reflectors with it, it's just that you have to find it.
Good luck.

it is possible but very difficult to pull apart.. inside the clear side markers is chrome housing once again (in most of them anyway) so u could paint that black as well

It is not a generalisation. It is a very possible scenerio. Both parties could sustain injury, his insurence would be void, and he'd have a very large debt.
Why compromise safety for an aestheic modification? You'd have to a complete f.ucking idiot to do so.
I've had a few "nice" cars, all of which were modified. Every modification was 100% legal and engineered. One involved an engine swap to a V8.
This is a forum for motoring enthusiasts. Every true motor enthusiast that I've met allways has legality on their mind when they are planning modifications.
Respect your car and other drivers. Would you object to me welding sharp spikes all over my car? "its my car". Where do you draw the line?

Mate, good job and everything, look schmick, but i think thats a bit too dark. It may be very visible at night, but during the day, particularly when its a clear day and the sun is out, then it would be quite hard for you to see the lights. I mean no disrespect, but i would certainly try and lighten the tail lights if possible to ensure your safety and the safety of others... and i think there is a reason as to why they write on cans of niteshades, "For offroad use ONLY"
Actually... come to think of it, you would still be able to see the high stop light so i guess its not all that bad...

it looks awesome dude... very "mysterious" looking
but u might want to consider that nightshades do void ur insurance if ur involveed in the accident
Some off the guys here, although they do seem unnecessarily aggro... (prolly suffering mid life crisis) do deliver a valid point. I was driving in Box Hill the other day where this echo in front of me had "red shades" (not night shades).... fking hard to tell when its just the light brakes being on or if he is actually braking... almost slammed into him
but yeh, night shades would have a similar if not worse effect to that...
finally took pics of my headlights i said i painted...

umm.. i know there is one projector housing, but with the other light, when you spray the reflector wouldnt that defeat the purpose of it being there?
umm i gues.. it didnt even make a difference in the light beam anyway.. so meh.. ahh i had some left over paint that i used on my wheels.. so alloy paint? watever thats called.. all i did was about 3 really light coats.. so the paint dont run.. since its a smooth surface
