hey guys..

as you guys might know. most honda's dont come with turbo's/
hence the space up in the front bar is limited..

i was having a look till i bumped into the air con piping and the horn etc..

guys.. has anyone fitted a cooler that is big in size??

saying overall size of 600 x 300 x 100mm or 600 x 300 x 76mm

do u guys reckon these sizes are too big??
and do uguys think this will fit??

or should i just got for a customised one

thankz for help

kenny

U can fit them, but u gotta remove bumper support/crash bar. not a good size for a honda IMO. the front bar covers half of it up.

you wont fit either on an accord without removing the bumper support or cutting the bollocks out of it. Look for something else mate

i've got one on mine but ur better off getting one thats not as high.
ur gonna run into alot of clearance probs with the standard front bumper.
u'll have to cut the intrusion bar (underside not frontage) to slide it up abit further.
IMO get one thats about 500x 250x 60. Good luck with the cooler piping !

yeah, "living" proof..... I'd hate to see the state of affairs in an accident without that front support bar.

one more chance

the only way is to remove the bumper support.. but not the best idea because if ur in an accident, it'll automaticly void ur insurance!

whos this for? an accord or an integra?
for the accord, i think poid and i have valid points regarding the fitment of the cooler.
for any other cars i wouldn't have a clue

how much boost are u running? how much pressure drop does the cooler give u? what turbo are u running, i think one that size might create a bit of lag depending on the hairdrier and boost ure running. what engine size is it?

what do you guys think of running an evo cooler or a galant cooler... one of those smaller ones. or even the new falcon coolers. they are small. do you think its enough for running 5psi

coolers on the 4g engines are good for 1.5 bar, its more than enough.

some turbo setups dont even run coolers on small psi setups, all it does is allows a better tune and allows u to run slightly higher boost

i just finished fitting my cooler on the type r.... it was kinda trial and error ...... but after welding a couple of brackets , and cutting a lil of the inside of the bar ...... she looks shmiko!!!! and i managed to keep the front brace! so all those who say it cant be done .... it can , with a little hard work.

600x300x76 intercooler fits behind the front support bar on an EM1 with no modifications :)

i wish mine dide that....... but back to the topic at hand. spoon-accord , unles you have a welder and the patients to make brackets to bolt to the car , its just a matter of sitting in fronton the car with a whiteboard marker , a tape measure and a level ... working out the position you want the cooler to sit in and just work out a way of making it happen.
good luck champ , its a real ball buster.

This is where we all thank god that the stock DA integra bumper suppots in Australia are the tiny little JDM ones which don't go over the radiator at all. Death in an accident but nice and lightweigh baby!

Intercooler glory soon to come haha!
