hello, first off...my car ia a auto civic
..my cvt auto box is sliping....soo i guess it's time to replace it..
well...i went to hondawreckers in westall and told me they can do a full manual conversion for $1500....is that expensive...i mean drive in n drive out...everything done for $1500..
is that a reasonable price?...
this includes everything...except the manaul dash...which he said i can still use my auto one...
opions?
and is a gli manual gearbox the same as a vti manual box?
thanks...
ohh and...do the vti/gli manual box hold up ok?...or they fragile and easy to break?..lets say...would it hold up okai on a turbo civic?

price sounds cheap
i heard a guy talking about doing a conversion on his car today for $3000
but it depends on what kind of car you have, your better off selling it cause its easy to sell a auto these days to girls, and buy a manual one

hurmmz...yer was thinking off selling it...but...can't b bothered...
"definatly good price....just the parts for my ED auto to manual was like 700 bucks...."
yer parts alone on my car is 900...soo 600 for labour...i could probably get a friend mechanic to do the conversions....but i rather the honda guys do it...since they would know wat there doing...
mad shiett....i think i'll go ahead with the conversion then...

different ecu. not sure exactly what happens if not swapped. i'm sure it will through codes but not sure how the actual performance of the engine will be affected

the guy said u can still use the auto ecu....i think,....well..i'm pritty sure he said that...i'll ask him again 2 b sure...
i wanna change to manual cause i fall asleep very easy at the wheels on a auto car...i find it very dangerous... auto cars to relaxing to drive..dats y
quote sounds good to me as long as they do EVERYTHING that is needed.
autos suck man, go the 5spd
