Hi guys~
Recently i was adviced to add on a DC5r's exhaust system on my jazz..
Result not sure, since no one have done it from what i know...therefore, i would like to seek more opinion about doing so....regarding to the possibilty of fitting (within reasonable modding cost) and the outcome.
Also I want to find out even if it can be done, is it worth to do so??as in performance wise. I heard that DC5r is using 2inch piping...so should be not bad for jazz and increase the power with a certain range.....
I realise that many of you might just advice me to find something direct to Jazz, however, DC5r's exhaust system has oem good quality but might be not enough for DC5r. However, i think when it goes to smaller model of car, it MIGHT be just right/adequet.
Any opinion would be appreciate~thanks a lot~
Cheers
Ian

From what I have found and from speaking to some others that have gone the exhaust route, you get bugger all gain out of a cat-back system.
It seems the best/biggest gains come from the extractors and intake....after that, the exhaust is sort of like the cream on top.
I would probably spend my money there first...
I think Muli has a DC5R muffler on the back of his but he has had a few little issues trying to seal it up properly....as for the whole exhaust I would doubt that it would fit. That said I haven't seen it, but you may as well just get something made up, or get a Fujitsubo catback for like $650 - bolts straight on and isn't too loud

fujitsubo doesn't really bolt on straight
the bpipe doesn't hook onto one of the hooks properly

how about xforce exhausts? are they bolt on? and are they any good on a jazz? heard that they are 2inchs as well...so may as well have a try if u after 2" piping

Yeah true...forgot about the x-force one.
Just go for full x-force system...extractors and catback. Probably the best bang for your back.
My custom stainless 2" with mandrel bends cost a bit over a grand! For that price you could get the entire x-force system with a bit of change....

Mn...........i don't like the sound of X-force....it's loud...and just plain loud...no deep sound...mn.....don't know if you know what i am talking about...

Oh yeah I know you're after the DC5, but I don't think it's a realistic and cost effective option unless you get it super cheap (or free).
But I know what you mean about loud....I wanted quite and deep so I paid top dollar for a custom job because all the Jap stuff is way too loud for what I want

i like the custom job. my one is also custom made, from middle to catback. the sound is very deep and never be loud !! but it really cost a lot, more expensive than the japanese brand.

for the xforce exhaust.. i was quoted $650 for the cat to the muffler... is that a reasonable price? or is it too expensive? coz i saw one of the trader here selling 480
