Integra LS Tempature Guage issues

hey guys i just brought my honda integra LS today!!!
im realli excited and cheering!
however i do have issues with the car if you all can help me out il be much appreciated

actual problem is that the temp guadge flys up and then middle then up when i say up i mean like 3/4 way up.
what could the problem be?
apart from the thermostat...
oh and how many guys n girls here have integra LS in syd?

water levels
have a look in the morning when its cold and not started
and top up the overflow

it could be your waterpump

radiator cap

or even crappy dirty water

maybe blocked radiator?

leaks?

actualy guage it self?

If it was the thermostat i'd expect a low reading on the gauge and no heat from you're heater...

Does the temp gauge increase immediately after you've started the car or does it gradually increase as driving continues and the engine warms?

btw - If it's your actual temp gauge that is playing up FR33K does NOT have a spare one (it's mine lol) ;)

yeah thanx guys il double check if it is the thermostat,
im not sure basically in lamens terms, one way of checkin if thermos screwed is when temp is reading high, then top radiator hose should b hotter then the bottom one...
hey skremn, where abouts in syd are you located and how much for the dash and how many km on the clock?

oh and one more problem i got..
anyone know where i can get a clutch for this car?
clutch slips sometimes when the clutch is hot..
and what price am i looking at for a clutch like jus the clutch its self.

check ur radiator for leaks, oil (brown muddish gunk), etc etc, be careful with the car until u know the prob. I thought my car was fine untill I was sittin in maccas drive through, Looked at the guage and she went straight to hot.............. blown head gasket.

the cluster has been stripped and so on but i got the individual temp guage it can be swoped over easily

hey man... finally got yourself a teg again... good good choice...
but as for the temp... as above ^^

i have noticed that ever since i threw in the CAI the LS is very sensitive to temp gains and losses.. but not overheating though... anyone else have sensitive temp gauges??

ohh.. and get pics of the ls up... what colour?? how much?? etc...

it was a buggered thermostat as i thought...
chopped it up and now running no thermostat temp now sits happily jus below half

im planning to run a cai too when i have time to do it but...
yeah i havnt taken piks yet, its gun metal grey with a cannon and clear tails... i know i know riced up hard..
i picked it up cheap so its all good...
