Hey guys
my euro just clocked JUST over 14K today.
This got me thinking....should I go for an oil change and service @ hannys at 15K or should I wait to get it serviced as per honda manual at 20,000kms? cuz my sticker that recommends the oil change says "next service = 20,000kms" but this is at Honda Service. I know that there are other more pedantic car owners out there that change oil every 5000kms but just wondering....what do you guys think?

Hard to say unless we know the conditions the car is driven under - if you look in your manual see if you fall within the severe conditions category. I would also add people who red line the car every day to that category!

how many months would it take you to go from 10,000km to 15,000km?

And is the majority of your usage < 10 mins per start?

if the car is sluggish and doesnt feel like theres enough umfff in power then get the oil changed..otherwise wait till 20,000...generally type R's, s2k's and more performance type cars would require 5000km oil changes..again its up to you

Mines about to hit 30k and ive had it since dec last year.

Im a rep who needs a reliable car, i do it every 10,000kms and its fine.

Just do what Honda tells you to do, they know their car/oil better than anyone else.

My Opinion anyway
