general painting info

hey everyone ive ditched the idea of a complete respray of me 3gen lude as i was looking at around 8000 for a mad job...it just isnt worth it...anyway im ordering a bodykit in a few months...the kit is painted already..how much would i be looking at getting it put on me car by a smash repairer at the least...im also looking at getting a small patch on me car resprayed as well as those black rubber strips that run along the car painted the colur of me car...any rough ideas of how much this may cost...i havent had much of a chance to ring around cause of my working hours

Really depends on whtere, do you mean installing... or painting or what.

And don't colour code the strips, they dont look all that nice, the car loses some of its lines, what colour is your Prelude?

yeh my cars a goldy brown colour...a guy in sydney said he can supply the kit for 900 not painted so yeh probably look at getting it paited and installed by the smash repairer...just though the car would look better wif those strips painted...u dont reckon ok yeh just wanted to see ya reckoned

wite ludes look shit with colour coded bars but this changes with a bodykit. and gold might look ok to colour code it. i got quoted a couple hundred but if u have a kit then all u need to spray is the side bars u might aswell take them off urself and just take them in. allot cheaper.

oh and fitting them depends on does it have the same mounts as ur kit? if so u can do it urself but some need sanding modding and other shit. plus with gold paint on an older car they might not match ir urs is faded ect.
