Ive got a 91 Integra LS, maroon in color, awesome paintjob, ive got stockies on it at the moment but they are also awesome, nice n shiny with no major gutter jobs. i dont know what i should do.
I wana drop the car to get rid of the ugly gap between the wheels and the housings. i was looking at a set of silver diablo rims for $400(good condition, new tyres, few small gutter jobs) and was gona put them on before i drop it but then i was thinkin they are way too common and dropping it on the stockies instead would look sick.
What do you think i should do?
Eventually i want my car dropped with white 5spoke rims and paint it black, should i drop it now and get the rest done later or get the rims first????
and how far should i drop it on stockies???
i was thinkin around 2inches on Kings????
please any advice welcome?

drop it before rims..
dropped on stockies looks pretty cool.
but rims first, looks like a 4wd!
i had mine dropped 2.75-3 inches running on standard size rims for quite a few months..

did u have same height front n back or what??? or 3inches all round would be alright???
i dont wana lose the bottom of my car everytime i hit a pebble
i reckon.. paint the stocks black and drop ur car 3 inches all around.. but even 3 inches is too high for me.. im sittin about 4 inches lower than stock.. i plan to go to 5 :D

ive seen sum1 down here with the same paint colour, and dropped on stockies. i couldnt tell how much, but hes rear tires were in the gards  personally ide choose the rims, and then dump it accordingly, or get it done at the same time. but if u wanna dump it, i think 2.5-3 all round would suffice
cheers

I'd say get the rims first then lower the car, so you can tell how low you can go. Otherwise lowering it before you get your rims, may cause issues such as, rubbing on your inner/outer guards and overall ride height.

Are the rims gonna be any bigger than stock ??
if so then your gonna have a funny looking car on 17" and 18" with stock ride height i say just save up enough money to do both at once
or do susspension first shouldnt make much diff, unless as civic said you get height wrong for new wheels and its a scubfest

What I had done with mine was to get the wheels first and then lowered it, coz if you think about it what if you lower it first and then you get those rims. What can happen is that the car maybe to low and those bigger wheels may rubb???
thats why I got my wheels and then I wacked my lowered springs back in, the car sat sweet on all fours, and it was lowered by 4" all round!

your tyres will not scrub coz the negative camber will put the tyres under the guards..
if u get a camber kit installed then u might have issues goin too low
WARNING: this is what will happen to your tyres

lol that really isnt low u know... if u look at the distance from the car to the ground.. not at the arches

i thought the purpose of a camber kit was to help adjust the positive camber that is created by lowering ur car? ie making it less positive

Yeh but i think you will find that he is reffering to when u drop it to much without the camber kit. Too much negative camber, one side of the tyre rubs more than the other.

yeh theyre my front tyres.. i have no camber kit lol
but yeh a camber will fix that (a bit)
btw theyre not bold like that coz theyve been scrubbing on the gaurd
its coz the tyres are on an angle to the ground..

MAN its u from my msn who wants to steal my rims lol yeh, i dropped mine on its ass 1st then after got the rims, but get wheel adjustment ASAP or ur tyres will hate you and ur tyre dealer will love you.
with the camber kit, how much is it, and does haivng it raise the height at all? oz if it does im not getting it! and where can i get it from, or are u all just talking about balance and alingment?

both my rears were like that. they were brand new when i had bought the car 5months earlier. it was the inside of the tyres which had rubbed out. the dude that done the alignment told me that my camber was too positive, and that theres no way he can get it 0 or negative. im not sure wat the problem could b, im thinkin mayb a f!ked up shock, or sumthin bent. so im thinkin bout a camber kit when i decide 2 lower it.

i think it depends on other factors, but i would assume that the lower the car drops, the lower the centre of gravity, so the inner tyres would rub out, due to the greater pressure being exerted on them. have a talk with a few suspension shops, and c wat can b done. those tyres i showed were on 14" interceptors
