there are 3 BLACK screws in either side accessed from inside the boot that you have to remove, then you can just life the grills off. then you have 4 8mm bolts on each speaker.
dont forget to unplug the wires from underneath first thou before you life the speaker out. do the same in reverse to mount the speaker.
i have some patch leads that plug into the factory loom with spade terminals that connect to the speaker if you dont want to cut the plug off, you can have a pair for $5 + post if you dont live near the airport to pick them up.
I couldn't fit my 6x9's in the back of my accord with the stock grill....so I used the grills that came with the speakers...leaves it open for theives as you can see the speakers from outside I guess...but theres no way they can break into my boot so they can't get into it.

Iv got mtx 3 way speakers that dont fit with the stock grill, but the grill that came with the speakers leaves the ugly bolts and metal template showing. DId yours cover it up or did you have to modify it??
Mine doesn't cover it up, but I'm sure you could spray them the same colour as the plates holding the 6x9's...I didn't cause I really don't give a dam and my passengers really couldnt give a f**k too lol

I have a pair of Morels 6x9. It fits nicely if not perfect like a replacement to OEM. You probably have to take out the grills from the new pair, then put the original ones on.
