last time in Sep 2000 dealer replaced rear brake pads when i bought my car from them.

is it time now to replace all four brake pads now ? or should i leave it running until it will start squeeking sound from pads.

which pads should i buy, Bandix Advanced or some other. its a family purpose car and no hard or tacks breaking involved. pls advise.

thanks.

as above, if they start squeaking then its definitely time.

Bendix advance or similar pads will do the job fine

there is no real time on how long the brake pads last. It is based how you drive the car.

Some people may need to replace the pads after 10000kms and some may last over 40000kms. It so depends on the style of driving.

yeh my fronts have been in for 4 years, rears i have no idea how long! They still have enough meat on them and stop fine so no point changing them, even though i have a set of nice pads to go on.

If you have a look and think there isnt much material on them, or if you feel the car should be stopping better, then by all means change them. Otherwise they are fine

as said before brake pads dont have a definitive life span, it depends on the type of driving you do, i just changed them on my car and the ones in before had been on their for 2 years almost, changed them when i bought my car.

If ur not gonna track, dont bother spending big money on pads, bendix should do fine.

every 30k ... correct me if i'm wrong ..

I got 75k out of my front pads on my del sol.

you should replace your pads when they are 80% plus worn.
