Del Sol & Eg6 Front lip

Hey Guys,

I finally purchased the eg6 front lip from Collins Honda in Rockdale,

After seeing ppl fit this lip, I cant for the life of me see how the lip will fit the del sol.

I have the front bar off, and the lip does not match all the wholes on the front bar, its doesnt fit perfect at all!

I have purchased the 1992 civic front lip for the hatch, I qouted the dealer its an eg6 lip, I dnt know whats wrong.

Can anybody shed somelight on this, how did u fit it?

i think every1 says its a perfect fit but ull have to make new holes on ur bumper to screw them in

I have done so,

I hope it fits, went out of my way to get it, and it loooks hot.

it will fit..

it's not a perfect fit as far as holding it up and going... it takes a little persuasion, but it shoudl go on just fine.

get some self tapping screws and start by putting screws into the lip where it meets with the wheel well area(so the screws are pointing towards the front of the car). Then put one in the center, and work towards the outsides stretching and screwing(wow, that sounds dirty).

may help to let the lip sit out in the sun for a while to warm it up.

one to hold and one to screw it in

start screwing the lip from left to right. u'll have to force the lip in place.

just drill into the tabs already on the lip.

about 8 screws will hold it in place nicely

I would highly suggest moving from the middle out, not the left to right, and you're more likely to get it centered properly moving from the middle out

i dont think the EG6 lip will fit your del-sol.. different contours etc.. u need the del-sol lip.


if the EG6 lip fits without modification i'd be very surprised.. just tryin to save you $70 - 150..

wow cause EG6 lip wont even come close to fitting EG sedan.. hmmm ohh well

and that's the beauty of OEM parts - the fact they bolt straight on with perfect fit etc..
