hey guys i dunno about yous but one of my head light is like "dirty" or yellowey then the other...
is this normal?
how do i clean it and get it lookin clear againz?
also the jap spec dc2 front lights look similar is it possible for a bolt on conversion?
also how much is hid kits for the teg i want it lookin blue or purple definately no white!
so around 5000K+ rating is what im lookin at
oh and what head light bulb the LS teggie takes too would b nice..

The yellow happens over time with age and heat etc. The only way of getting rid of it is to sand it till its gone.. this is the only way it will work, there are articles to fix this on g2ic, and team-integra.

The jap spec dc2 lights are not a straight bolt on, there is a LOT of modification to do it, can be done tho, once again check out g2ic cos there are a couple of ppl who have done it, but to be honest spend your money on sumthing more worth while.

HID kits need to be modded to fit the LS, there expensive, start at like $300 or so, and the head light bulbs are H4H.

Im not sure on the exact amount you need, but i found 10mm and 5mm LED's worked quite well, the 5mm ones are not exact but they work. Also red LED's are kinda dull, or atleast thats what i found, but im sure they will look good in a car cos i did mine with a battery and the cluster out of the car and lots of testing in a dark area

if you want hte JDM DC2 look.. A friend of mine did the ol' "EK9 black-housing headlight conversion" mod.. looked AWSOME on the old LS.. and he also used those new YELLOW parker light bulbs so with black housing and the yellow glow it looks like a JDM DC2R.. kinda.. but anyway i give it a thumbs up !!

just get angel eyes if u want ur front lights to look more blingy.

i cleaned my headlights the other day with a paint thinner ! now they are *BLING BLING* shiny no more yellowy colour.

if u want blue i think thats more liek 7500k , practically i don't think it is that good especially in rain.

Finally....LS use H4H bulbs which go for around $50 each, which is an absolute ball breaker. :)

Paint thinner?? whoa thats daring! I imagine you cleaned the outside of them?

all you need is polish wax,
apply the waxpolish with a damp cloth wait til it hazes, then rub out, shouldnt take more than 5min per light.
It may take 2 or 3 goes depending on how yellow they have gone and how hard you polish.

Their the JDM DC2 headlights... But the guy had to modify the bonnet, fenders and the bumper slightly i think...

He also just sold it!!!! :( I WOULD OF BOUGHT IT IF I WAS IN THE US!!!

forget about the jdm DC2 lights... there gonna cost you more then an arm just to get them to fit... a few of my friends and i have used Meguirs PLASTX on any type of lights... similar to R33 Skyline lights who just go old and yellow misty after time...

Next time i get it done on a car ill do a write up of before and afters... its pretty mad to see how clear the lights become.. its about 15 bucks a bottle... worth while boys!!

Tried PLASTX on my bung light a while ago, it didnt take all that much of that yellow crap off, but it did take a bit of the clear coat off, so i think if you do quite a few applications it may work, i think i may do this PROPERLY after exams on my bung light and see how it goes...

Nice lookin lights... to be honest i think mine are a little too blue.. and crap in the wet, but oh wells. Yellow foggies will fix that!!

Hey wkdteg yeah please keep us posted with info and pics as the come along man.. would be intrested in how they look and turn out.. with the colour thing your asking about dont quote me on this you mite have to ask others but i heard somewhere that the angel eyes housing, the outer bit which actually hold the bulb dont use H4H like the original housing so if they use just a H4 you can get either white or blue bulbs if they use H4 that is.. :rolleyes:

yeah im not sure what bulbs they use, but all adds say that they can b changed to 4200k bulbs. so well c how they look when i buy them. might b a few weeks thought

hey wkdteg... its kla80t here, just came back to this forum and found out that your looking for angel eyes headlight... i've got one and the bulb involved are.... 2x h3s, 1x h1s and park lights. at the moment i'm using g4 silver whites... they are ok coz they are white but they dont give great distance thats why i change the drive lights to philips vision plus although yellow...it gives you good distance cover. i can't afford HID kits at the moment but was told that the projector angel eaya headlight are more effective with HIDs so i'm saving some money for now but its a good investment! hope this help.

Quick question; what are you guys using as parker bulbs? I've bought the Narva (I think) wedge bulbs which have a blue film on the glass, but they're still yellowish, and two different sets of "White" LED wedges, which are too blue.

Is there anything off the shelf we can use? Otherwise I'll experiment with other LED's or a higher rating bulb (10W) and wiring.

redteg.... i'm using the same brand as arjays photos. it depends what colour you want... im using the pure white ones but when you buy it, it looks blue but if you want blue, you have to buy the purpple ones...was that clear? but anyway that brand is good stuff! a bit expensive but worth the buck! around $30.00 for a set...atleast that was 3 years ago. hope this helps

your right because the HID kits for it is different and be more expensive as you would need atleast 2 sets of HID kits as the projector headlight dont need dual fillament bulbs meaning you need one each bulb compartment.... otherwise you can just get your driving lights with the HIDs but the highbeam/ fog lights will be normal bulbs. but yes it can as long as your budget can! money always talk and that sucks! heheheh. hope this helps

im 90% certain that it wont fit...you'll need to buy the H4h bulbs as i think the H4's are too big.

h4s will only fit, if you get out the grinder and alter the base of the globe. Lots of cutting required. Or you could jut buy aftermarket globes by searching in the for sale *wink* for h4h nokya ...

theres 3 bulbs per headlight set which are the main lights, parkers, and middle 1s which go on with the high beam.

the parker is just a little parker bulb nothign special and the high beems are either H1 or H3
it should be on the plastic moulding above the cover of the bulb
