anyone else tried this yet?

has anyone ever noticed that if you stall the car and when you restart it and if you sorta have to accelerate say if you stalled at lights vtec wont engage? I had this happen today and planted the throttle but car wasnt pulling then after 4000rpm it just took off, like it actually felt like my mates dc5r engage but obviously not fast. now its fine its just that its happen a few times but only when ive stalled the car
