i think it's 6"
Yea, pretty sure its 6 cos thats what i replaced my rears with....so you might have to cut a bit out to fit the 6 and a halfs....

It has 6.5" in the rear, however if you buy aftermarket 6.5" speakers and there good ones then chances are they wont fit in the stock baskets as the magnet will be bigger.
You have to modify (i.e hack the shit out of the plastic ones) to make them fit.

Yeah you will need to do a bit of hacking. My 6 inch speakers had little toggles on the outside so they could be mounted in 6.5 inch holes, i had to bend them around a bit.

6.5 will fit......but you have to buy the small 6.5 not the big one....by this i mean the magnet size. Cause i got them in my car....i put in the boston rally's at the back....

how do i know whether the magnet is big or small??Look at the size of the magnet. Compare it to other speakers. The Sony speakers generally have smaller magnets when you compare them to other brands. If you have purchased a Sony 6.5inch, you will be able to fit them in. The magnets on them are pretty small.
Good Luck :)

dude go and return that crap you just bought, Sony speakers are absolute garbage when it comes to car audio. In fact sony anything for car audio is garbage, the stock speakers would have been a lot better.
For 120 buckks FHRX can get you a pair of decent speakers to put in ur car.
Seriously you got ripped with that crappy buy.

Shallow mounting speakers like the Crossfire SX6.0 or SX62 make life easy requiring only around a 2" mount depth but still equiped with a decent magnet and sound quality.

no you should get a different brand of speaker altogether, try these on
Focal, JL, or better yet contact FHRX tell him how much you wanna spend and let him choose some for you.

all of the ones u suggested are pretty crap, the ones i mentioned are know for quality sound, sony just cant do anythign right. So forget about them completely.
Just contact Marty at FHRX and buy some off him, he can get you the best ones in ur price range

Chalk and cheese. As big a difference as stock paper cup speakers vs good aftermarket.
Audio companies make speakers. Electronics companies make electronics but Alpine, Pioneer, Clarion and others also do better head units than Sony. If your a jack of all trades its hard to be a master of one.
