Apparently Jazz outside Oz has factory sunroof but Honda Oz choose not to take the option. Found out the OEM roof panel part no is

62100-SAA-G1022

I was wondering whether any dealer will order the part if I ring up and give them the part no? I would assume you will need to get the part number for the switch, electronics component (ie wiring), glass, seals and interior roof lining.

At the end it might be cheaper to install sunroof locally but the advantage of using OEM panel is that the panel is mould and less chances of getting rust.

Let me know if you are interested and I will try to get more part number and if not then i won't be bother.

No they won't do it unless that specific model is fitted to an aussie delivered vehicle.

I guess that won't stop people sourcing it themselves. As long as they have the part no and a couple of emails/phones to a broker and parts will on the container in no time.

Rang up one of the dealer to order the brake light connector and quote them the part no over the phone and the guy was like "Where did you get the part no from?"

I was like "I got it form the Internet" and he was speechless. Should have told him that I got the part no from Honda Electronic Parts Catalog CD to piss him off. :D

but just imagine the labour they gonna charge you for installing it..... not worth while.... :)

don't think rust is gonna be a major issue..... *touch wood*

All you need is Honda part no 69SAAC00 - Genuine Honda Jazz workshop manual. Of coz you will need to paint it.

Not sure how much it would cost but it won't be cheap.

when i had the jazz and i wanted a sunroof....
i called Rosebury Honda in Sydney (they were the only ones who will do it at the time). Basically they just cut a big hole in the roof and there are two styles
switch for the glass in located just next to the sunroof glass.

integra type (glass slides over roof) $15xx
accord type *i think* (glass slides inside the roof $25xx

3 year warranty

Also, cameltree...

3 of us from Melbourne Jazzers, MRFIT, Crazyray and myself have aftermarket sunroof installed.. (could be someone else too.. but dunno them..) and all 3 of them look different.. I suppose.. different suppliers.. and installer..

How I wish they have the factory sunroof... anyway.. my after market one is not too bad.. I would give it 8/10

Here is how mine look like... (not trying to show off.. just thought I share with you how the aftermarket one looks like..)

I have tried to ask the dealer to install a sunroof but the sunroof warranty is only covered by the shop that install it and not by Honda and another thing is that any damage that cause by the sunroof will not cover by Honda warranty.

That really pisses me off. Honda Management team should get their act together and rethink their market position. Not just selling francises to people and earn money for selling freaking expensive parts. Their family members might be driving Merc or bimmer rather than Honda. Bunch of businessmen that has pea sized **** sitting in the office watching jap porn that got sent via the company container from the last shipment of parts.

Enough flame. Off to bed now.

cameltree, agree with you mate... a bit off topic here but anyway ...First of all, Honda is not a bad car.. from my personal point of view, from where they are going.. they are not going any where.. (they as in Honda Australia..), I dunno probably because of some political issues between them and Honda Japan..

they got no marketing strategy, parts cost like double of what other car manufacturers do.. and OEM dress up kit, accessories were so costly no one can afford to buy them... not to mention, the service cost is expensive.. added to that, most of the dealerships sux.. I've got a few local dealership blacklisted in my book, they gave me the sh1ts about servicing and parts... and their attitute sux.... overall, If they do nothing about it.. I can see them as another daewoo history... (sorry.. a bit over Exaggerating.. ) but it is the fact.. Great car... but I have to think twice before getting another Honda as I am not getting enough support...

In this instance, why can't they offer factory sunroof? since Australian loves the sun so much.. :D :D

BTW.. picture of the factory sunroof for Jazz in HK. courtesy of apple daily.

to continue the fustration about Honda. I wonder what sort of prices do the traders(from this forum) get from their japanese broker. If any of the traders is reading this post, feel free to comment on this. What sort of information do you need in order for you to order the parts for us?
