hi everyone. i got this problem. when my car was involved in a acident, my rail got hit, pushing the mount bolted to the gearbox and cracking the case of the box. now its a b18c eg/dc box... now i know the bellhousing is different due to being a b series vs d series,, but on the outside part where the mount bolts upto thats removable, is it the same as a d series box? .. that way i get a d series casing and replace it with the b series...

SO you have a d-series gearbox and want to replace the transmission housing with that of a b series?

I can't say to be honest but I have a feeling the shift fork end (the rod that sits in the transmission housing, held in by a spring bolt) might be different.
