Did a search on ZC, didnt find anything.
Wondering what are the specs of the ZC engine?
Was just inspecting a car for sale and had a ZC?
Engine was from a CRX Si 89'

look on civic4g.com all the engine specs on gen2 civic and crx are there. The zc is specced about the same as the d16 but it is a different engine, jap only. Lots of ppl in the States do ZC swaps because they are easier and cheaper than b16a and they got 1.5ltr crxs over there. It's like 96kw all the other specs are on the web site.

Was this the standard engine?
or was it changed?
It's a 1.6litre?

the block + head is the same - only differences in ECU + gearbox. ZC was the designated name for our local "d16a8" in Japan.

Mind you , "ZC" also refers to a SOHC equivelant ( that i know nothing about)

same 130hp (96kw)

supposed to be the same....except Japanese power ratings refer to "PS" (pferdstark...or german for horspower...) which is SLIGHTLY less than 1hp for 1 PS so prob 125hp ?!?

That which makes the ZC quicker is a different final drive , different gearing and different ECU settings AFAIK - also there is an optional LSD unit ( gimme!)

I've actually been told that ZC = D16A8 (no difference at all)

JDM Si CRX had the ZC from factory.

zc is d series
power doesnt really mean that much in a crx anyways as they are a quick car with most motors because of there wieght
but it would be better if you could get a b16a

alittle more info - d16a8/ZC = 96kw , 144NM torque.

This topic is pretty much covered :)

Yeh when I was test driving the car I was really surprised.
The car felt really light the it just went off.
