need some help with offsets

Thinking about putting some 17X 7and 1/2 volks on a dc2r.

Stock: 15X5 5x114.3 offset 38-42.

I'm told for 17x7and1/2s I would need an offset of around 35-40. Can anyone confirm?Does anyone know what kinda offset I should be lookin for?

fine? didn't need to flare the guards? don't scrape when wheels are at full lock?

Hey yours is a dc2r right? Did you notice any lag in performance after puttin the 17's on? What kind are they?

For dc2, do not go over 45 offset.

i'd imagine also with 17's you'd feel every bump through the steering wheel...
i'm thinkin i'm gonna go 16's eventually

depends on your suspension setup, but as Geno said dont go over 45.

If i were you id get a set of 16" rims, mmmmm mag wheels

does ur car go in a straight line by itself on the freeway if u dont hold onto the steering wheel? wider wheels causes straying yeah.

would offset of +33 for 16" be fine for DC2R?

You would need aout a 40mm offset.
If you are getting the TE37 17" then it is almost identical weight to the stock rims, only 0.2 lbs heavier and 10x better looking. :)
