On the discussion on the B20 block with B18 Head (CRVTec) I found a lot of discussion on Honda LS Block instead of B20 block, my question is, I am not clear what LS stand for, and from what car its come from, please let me know some more on this

Thanks

lol um ok.. well wen they talk about the ls block.. its usually the b18b block.. like with the ls/vtec setup.. b18b block with b18c/b16a head (the 93+ gsi's in australia are equivalent to the 93+ ls in america)

the ONLY difference between the B18B (LS) block and the B20B (CRV) block is the size of the bore which is 81mm (LS) vs 84mm (CRV).

(if anyone wants to be ultra pedantic, the difference is due to the type of cylinder sleeves also, with the B18B having removable iron sleeves, and the B20B has a hybrid siamese non-removable sleeves)

the DC4 Honda Integra GSi's had the B18B in Australia...

the DC4 Acura Integra LS came out with the B18B around 1994 in the USDM market...
