I get all that sort of stuff done by my cousins lol...but if you don't have that luxury then take your car to Hanny's at Smithfield.

900 for exedy..

i've been on the phone all morning looking for clutches.
the best i could come up with was 903 bucks for a 3 puck, cerametallic, sprung centre exedy kit, and 657 for the sports organic kit.
hannys told me 300 in labour to change clutches.

so the 950 from hanny's sounds about right to me. actually, it's cheaper for me to buy the unit from hanny's.

I believe tony's quote is mostly right for standard setup.

Mine cost about $500 parts for oem pressure plate and daitken clutch....but my cousin probably got a discount from Robbie ;)

flywheel machining between $50 - 100.

it's been about 80k km now ;)

slips on upshift, making grinding noises when ridden etc... i have a feeling that it'll die pretty soon.
i guess i'd rather fork out now and plan it all then have it leave me stranded in the country at 1am (thats what happened last time i popped a clutch spring up the old road).

if you want an exedy from Daikin i suggest emailing quotes @xzibit.au.com (without the space of course), the price you get from there will usually be as cheap as you can get

i wouldnt grind the fly much... a lighten fly will be a hassel to drive everyday cause the mass of the fly is wat keeps up the momentum.. if you reduce the mass,,, then the fly will rotate faster giving better accl. but the down fall is that it will also loose speed really quick if you take the pedals off.

That's about what I just paid, just over a grand for heavy duty pressure plate, organic clutch, fly wheel machining, and labour.

Didn't want to start a new thread.

I just got my heavy duty organic exedy put in. I read about burning it in or wearing it in. What SHOULDN'T you do with a new clutch. I have been driving under 4000rpm, launching at 2000 or less. So yea I've been taking it really easy , am I taking it too easy ?
