Is it possible to add an ABS system to a car that doesn't come stock with one?
And for my particular case, 97 VTiR Integra ABS to 97 CXI Civic.
Anyone?

think you can do it, but it'll be tonnes of work!...ECU, all brakes need to go in, the fuse box and relays from the engine bay, plus all the wiring...

Anything can be done with the right amount of moula,
but i doubt you will find anyone that is willing to spend that much to get it done.
It definantly wont be cheap

Bugger, that sux. Guess i'll have to continue to live without ABS then. Just another thing while we're on brakes here, is there any advantage of swapping the master cylinder over to my car? Would the ABS make the master cylinder not suitable for my civic?

why would u want ABS? IMO its more fun without it.... unless your going for safety or something. Does ABS have its own computer to control it?

dont use a ABS master cylinder on a non ABS car
you can install all the teg ABS goodies in your civic, you also have to include all the ABS lines and Modulator, and proportioning valves

Awsome, what is the difficulty level of doing this? Lets compare with for example adding a turbo kit or engine conversion :D?

Adding ABS is a pain in the @ss on any car, not a job for the in-experienced.
Understand that your brake lines will need to be modified / replaced due to diff floor pans. Also, this swap should be engineered approved or risk problems with insurance / RTA / Police.
IMHO, it could be time & money spent elsewhere. Good set or pads & slotted rotors?

i have abs on my eg front cut.. i was going to put it in when i done my conversion but couldnt be bothered..
like what iamhappy46 said.. slotted rotors and good pads are good enough..or even changing your brake booster
