I used RSM to test it. Not my dc2R. That is my friend's dc2R.

stock arnt they suppose to be 14.6??
he's talking about a sprint up to 100km/hr from stand still.. everytime i've tried, i pull over on the highway (which has a limit of 110km/hr) then i pull onto the rd once all the traffic has cleared then get my bro to time it on his phone hahahahaa... so far i've got 6.93sec for the typeS :) no mods..

ok sounds good. My b18c (jdm 180hp) in 1992 civic sedan did 6.99/7.01 gtec and stop watch(7.12). I suppose the dca r (type r) b18c5 is a bit quicker but the civic has a lighter body weight. Therefroe, I would say the differnce between dc2 and dc2 r is around 0.2 sec difference. 1-1.5 car lenghts up t0 100/km/h based on a same driver.
With a differnt driver can up to 2-3 car apart either direction.

well i got 6.93s recorded by a stop watch on a mobile phone.. so i cannot determine its accuracy, mind you i'm still getting used to the typeS..

[try again and keep you eye on 2nd gear rpm rather the speedo. The honda speedo are usually out by 2-3 km/h eg 97km reads 100.
If I am not wrong, with the type s. 8000rpm on 2nd is 100.

Ok well in my type R, by the time i start the time i disable the immobilisers, get the wheel clamp off and let it warm up, it takes me about 5 mins to get 100km/hr.
So yeah DC2R's aren't very fast at all.
Oh and when i dynoed my R at speedo was off by 10km/hr so 120 was actually 110

your comparing a porshe GT3 to a Honda Integra??????
TOTALY DIFFERENT Leagues man.
lol
interesting how motor journalists who do 0-100km/h testing on run ways day in and day out can't get a faster time than regular car enthusists...??
wasn't the DC2R quoted to have been mid 7s or closer to the the 8s mark for 0-100?

As a reference the factory claims for 0-100 for each are DC2 - 7.4, DC2R 6.9. Some will better these times but most won't.
Please give more reliable figures everyone! :)
i've been hearing the most screwed up figures in terms of 0-100 from this site.. i mean how can a dc5r do a 7.5 0-100 if the dc2r does 6.9? whered u guys hear 7.5?? mayb ur thinkin of the dc2 vti-r..

I had a run with frinds dc2 r recently, and he topped me almost by 2 car lenghts after 80 km/h. Remember my ls b18a was tuned by my self to its max spec based on stock cams except the ecu eprom. and airbox(type r).
This is what I expected. my g tec was showing around 7.02 to 100km/h and his around 6.7 sec. Onething I can tell is is the LS was in lead up to 80, where as the dc2r gear short and second and had to use third at 90 to give that extra TWO car lenghts. Its was a good experience.

For the Stock JDM DC2R honda claimed 6.7 0-100km

good on you. So the vtir version should lays somewhere between that two car lenghts or perhaps same as mine tuned LS or wose.
