Hey guys,
Before you all ask, yes i have done a search and no i couldn't find what i was after

I've just got sum rather nice bridgestones fitted to my car (em1) and to get the most out of them i want to get a camber kit to reduce the camber as the front is sitting on king lows.

How much are reputable front camber kits going for? Are they basically a replacement for the oem front upper control arm, with a screw/locknut type setup incorporated?

Can they be diy installed or they abit more complicated?

Also, i know that trav(underground imports) sells the whiteline product but who can i contact for other brands?

Ok, a few things:

1. How much camber are you looking at reducing (as many of the kits on the market will only do a small amount - ie less than 2 degrees)
2. There have been a number of problems with the some of the camber kits in the US (worth checking out Honda-Tech.com) so you need to choose carefully which kit you go with
3. Try speaking to Hondar (one of the forum vendors) as he has access to some other major brands who have camber kits

Hope that helps.

thanx man,

dont really know how much less camber is needed, all i can tell you is that the inside front tyres were SCREWED and the outside were near brand new

So you havent had any sort of alignment done after installing the springs? If you had an alignment done then they would have told you that your camber is out X degrees - although from all the information that I have read, even if your camber is out by up two degrees, if your toe is fine then you shouldnt feather your tyres.

While some of the more experienced suspension guys will know more than I, I believe that you need a kit to fix the toe as well as your camber. It might be worthwhile going to speak to a local suspension place to establish how far out your toe and camber are and then this will give you some indication of what to do next.

i had a look on honda-tech and couldn't find anything. What sort of problems in a nutshell did the american ones get, i was looking at changing my one to skunk2 item as there is more adjustment than the kmac one i have now.

Very simply, the whole camber kit failed. The ball joint became loose and started to slip. Let me find some links for you.

Here are a few things I found:

thanks for that, it looks they only dont like the skunk and omnipower ones. I might look to get the ingalls one cos they use the same arm just adjust it out a bit. Either that or just keep the kmac one i already have, havent had a problem yet. looks sturdier as well

thanks Zdster
