Ok I installed the JDM Taillights with the amber blinkers today. It was pretty easy took me just over an hour to install them.

The bumper is held on with 3 screws. 2 in the wheel well and one on the bottome of the bumper connecting it to the back of the wheel well. Last there are two clips in the middle between the exhaust tips.

First screw that need to be removed at top of rear wheel well. One on each side of car.

Second screw that need to be reomved from the lower part of the wheel well. One on each side of car.

Third screw that needs to be removed on lower part of bumper about two inches in from edge of wheel well.

You need to pop of this screw to access the 10mm bolt that is behind it. One on each side.

Then remove this bolt. One on each side

Then remove the two clips on the under side between the exhaust tips. There are two of them.

For those of you that have removed the front bumper the rear bumper snaps off the same way once you have all the screws, bolts, and clips off.

This is what you start with after the bumper is removed.

http://img323.imageshack.us/img323/192/3boltsinner7by.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Once the bumper is off start on one side and remove the 3 8mm bolts holding the taillight on from the inside of the car and then disconnect the cables.

http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/9268/3bolts5sx.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Then remove the two 10mm bolts shown here first. Then pull the taillight out and remove the screw that hold the plate to the light.

After this remove the bulbs from the original light and insert into the jdm light. Then reverse the process to install the new taillight.

Before: with factory tails

After with JDM Tails: You cant really tell that they are different at all when they are off.

Not sure anyone in Australia will find this relevant as we have those indicators - but the write up is great for rear bumper removal

yeh whats up with that? why do US cars indicate and brake light BOTH are red? its pretty dangerious, how can you tell if someone is indiciting, or braking?

its not that hard to make brake red, and indicate yellow...

really yours blink amber.

Our ADR's (Australian Design Rules) require indicators to be amber in colour when lit.

Great work on the pictures for bumper removal

You really have gone all out on this JDM Euro conversion.

If you had the TSX in right hand drive we could do a swap - I'll take the TSX and you can have my Euro. The money you have spent on modding can be used on shipping costs!

it wont be a full JDM will it?
i read somewhere u cant change the TSX dash to the euro/euro R dash even if u do switch it from left to RHD

Yes - according to Noel the connections are different at the back of the speedo. But if cccoltsicehockey is hard core enough to get the whole JDM dash maybe he is going to get the wiring too!

I love this guys dedication. Maybe I should visit him when I am in USA next year and bring him some JDM goodness from Australia. ;)

yes yes please do. My plan actually is to find an entire jdm front end of the car that includes the new fire wall. have it shipped over then cut the fire wall out and weld it into my fram or if that isnt possible cut my front end off and have the new one welded on.

Is the JDM front end that different to the TSX? Also, you might run into a problem with your TSX being LHD and the JDM Euro being RHD.

wouldnt be as much fun but couldnt you just import a JDM Euro R in the first place and then attempt a LHD conversion?

i show the car here in the us on the NCCA show circuit. check it out here www.4ncca.com I placed 5th this year in acura for the season. For a car to count to win JDM awards it has to be a us car converted you cant just import the car directly from japan and compete.
