Not many of the 2004 - 4cyl were sold - so you may find it hard to locate good 2nd hand deals. There are plenty of V6s around.

It sounds like you have already decided but if you are looking at 28k - it is Euro money. The 4cyl wide body Accord is just not good enough value IMO. I would also err on the "Japanese" side of Honda rather than the "Thai" side - if you can stretch the dollars. Just my 2 cents.

You do realise that the 2.4 in the Accord is only 118kw, whereas the 2.4 in the Euro is 140kw?

And they are also built in Thailand and not Japan and it's cheaper due to the FTA as well....

yeh i realise that if im looking for performance i wouldnt buy honda :D i got tired playing with subaru and also fuel now is killing me. so need 4cyl car now.
regarding built in thai i don't really mind as long the quality still Ok, coz otherwise honda japan wouldnt approve it right?

Go for the Accord. Nothing wrong with them, my old neigbour had one and was a nice car. The quality of the car is pretty good as well, had no concerns. Quiet ride, nice interior and by far larger interior then the Euro.
What is it with Accord Euro owners

ive got a v6 accord and my economy would be close to a 4cyl,i get about 550-600 outta 65lt around town and near 800 on a trip..

If you need the space, go for the VTi. Since fuel is killing you, a V6 would be out of the question, unless you were going on long distance trips, where the smoothness of the V6 would be beneficial (you won't tire quickly).

The Euro is good if you only need to seat 4 people. Also, Euro's boot is quite small. Too small for my use...

I'm not sure. I usually check carsales.com.au in the private seller section as well as carsguide.com.au
