OK heres the next problem.... The car wont start?? The car runs fine with the B18B motor, but after i put in the ITR ecu it doesnt start, it turns over but doesnt fire?

There is no engine check light after its initial pre check, fuel is going in but its not firing? Using a AUDM 99 DC2R ecu?? I am thinking maybe that built in imboilizer... FUnny thing was the B18B engine worked fine on a 96JDM ITR ecu?? any Ideas?? Maybe distributer as that is pre OB??

AUDM 99 DC2R ecu should have an imboilizer on it and JDM ecu's don't, hope that helps

thats what i figured the problem was....lucky i have a jdm one being shipped from kiwi land as we speak! will let you guys know how it all goes  thanks

please explain?

i have an obd1 dizzy on my b18c engine and i was wondering if that was the problem, that it was not woking in conjunction with the obd11 ecu.

The wierd thing is-is that my obd11 b18b ecu runs with the obd1 dizzy.....

is it a distributor problem or imobiliser problem????? Im guessing it is the audm ecu imobiliser interfering with my car.
hmmmmmm

dizzys are the same, but different connectors

your AUDM ECU has the Immobiliser built into the ecu, this is preventing your engine from starting.

PM me if you need help with it.

i used the b18b wire harness to power all the goodies on my engine-and relocated the dizzy wires into the two b18c conectors (from one large plug-to two smaller plugs) and it works fine on the b18b ecu. any easy way around the imobiliser?? otherwise i have annother jdm p73 ecu (chipped with an erics racing chip-aparently) that should make it all go nicely. cheers for all the help guys!

if you give me your OBDII Dizzy Connector you removed, Ill disable your Immo for you :)

Just one more question on immobolisers. Does the ecu read any engine code number? For example, an OBD2 car with immo and we change only the engine, using same ecu, harness, key etc.. Will the ecu reject the engine?

i think that it must be ok to do that and the imobilizer is in the wiring or igniton barrel or something... Only a guess but im sure proecu or ecu man or someone will know

you can just swap engines, there is no problems with that

all the keys, PGMFI ECU, and IMMO control unit are all paired, meaning you cant just change a key, ecu or immo CU without reprogramming with the HDS ( Honda Dealer Job )

correct,

If you have an aftermarket alarm system, just do away with the immo, its more hastle than its worth.
