Today i got my 92 LS up on jackstands to change the front brake pads, went smoothly, although i didnt get back the firm pedal pressure i was hoping for, thats another problem
whats more of a worry is that there was a decent puddle of what im pretty sure is coolant on the floor (thought at first it was brake fluid, but its in the wrong spot)
any thoughts on what might have caused it?

put abit of toilet paper/towel and absorb it - tell us what colour the fluid is.
Oh , and look for exactly where the leak is coming from...park the car overnight with say newspaper underneath the engine bay , and see where you can trace the leak from.

hey there thanks for the tip...its green, and i only realised it was there when i was reversing out so the best i can gather as to where it originated from is middle, maybe slightly towards the right hand side of the engine bay

yup its coolant....possibly came from ur overflow container ( located right behind the radiator on the drivers side) - Is the fuild level in this resevoir full or empty Also , check that the leak is not from the the bottom radiator drain plug - over time the small rubber grommet inside can leak a drip slowly. Good luck

if its on the right hand side of the engine... good possibility its your water pump...
when was this last changed ??
also you probably didnt get a firm pedal coz either 1. you didnt bleed your brakes properly, or 2. your brake master cyclinder needs new seals
