Increasing the size of the throttle body without tuning with the ECU and with the compliment of other engine head parts can make you lose power.

This question has been asked many time dude ;)

Yeah did a search but it was hard to find stuff, should ahve looked harder, sorry

just what paul did to it man, just looking for things to help the car abit more, yeah I've been told ECU tuning is needed.

By changing the TB in a car that has no form of tuning device is really a waste of time.I was doing research into TB mods and found some more power but only 1-2kw untuned when we did tune the car we picked up 8kw now this car was already tuned before we fitted the modded TB so the gains where very good.If you fit a ITR/CTR TB the manifold opening needs to be enlarged as it will need to be 62mm not the STD 60mm.You will feel a small difference at part throttle openings due to the larger throttle blade but is does need to be tuned to get the full benefit of the mod.

My car revs out a hell of a lot smoother after it was tuned with Hondata;)

so for the mods I have on this car, is the ECU worth doing? I mean if I do the TB I have to do it anywayz

-Pod filter with CAI (box coming)
-2.5" custom exhaust
-Jasma 4-2-1 Headers/extractors

So who do you buy them from and who tunes them in sydney????

cheers
