help about EK console

the light on the hazard button in the console has blown and i dont know how to change it, ive tried various things but cant get it off, and i dont want to break anything.


does anyone know how to?

precision flat head screwdriver and a piece of cloth to prevent scratching the plastic...

stick the screwdriver down one of the sides of the mould and it should come off with little effort...

Along the same lines,

I got a white cluster (glows blue) in my 99 hatch. Well it used to glow blue, now it doesnt glow at all.

I checked the fuse(supposed to be 7.5A right??) but last owner has fitted a 25A, so i replaced it and it blew again straight away....

Any ideas on where i should check??

fozee - do you have a aftermarket head unit in the car?? pull it out and look for the red/black wire. check that its not touching anything.

Pulled the HU out and re insulated all the cables from that loom and its still blowing 25amp fuses....

May have to take it into an Auto Leky...
