can the jazz engine even handle it?

Building an engine to handle Nitrous is the same as building an engine to handle forced induction.
So in theory, if there are bolt on turbo kit's for jazz's, then there's no reason why you couldn't run a low amount of nitrous on the engine as well.

*start rant*
oh and for the record IT'S NITROUS, NOT NOS!!!!! NOS is a brand name Nitrous Oxide Systems....nitrous is the actual chemical that is sprayed into the engine!
It gives me the shit's how many people don't realise this yet they rabble on like they babble on about it!

Anybody have any pic(s) of the Jazz's engine bay with the nitrous nozzle in view?? Also, does anybody know if there's a fuel return line for Jazz/Fit.. Thanks!!

With the Jazz being a light FWD car, when you use nitrous in the lower 1st and 2nd gears, don't you just get wheelspin? :D

Saw one in Malaysia, K20a Jazz with NOS...pretty quick...

MRFIT

the one i saw in HK with nitrous had a cover over the engine, so i wasn't able to take any pics of the actual nozzles, (see Spec R Jazz in HK thread)..... and the car was an Auto..... and it may be a 1.3L too..... :D

the owner didn't give me a ride though.... :( so i donno if its going to have wheel spins in 1st and 2nd gear.....

1.3L Jazz? Hmm, that's 61kW or 82hp. Give it a whopping 50-shot of nitrous and assuming the engine does not lean and burn itself out, that's only 132hp, slower than your VTiR Civics..... Hmmm... K20a swap would be more worth it and unique.

yes its on nos, yes its 1.3, yes it was auto and yes it handles magnificently cause i got a ride in it. maybe next time you spend close to 10,000hkd at their shop they might let you ride in it to waha :D :p

I don't understand why everyone always asks "can the Jazz engine handle it"....It's not really any different to any other engine.

What makes it any different to turboing a B18C7 or something like that.

Of course they can handle it so long as everything is tuned correctly

hehe..... ye, i only bought two items from them..... since everything else i wanted they had to order through, and takes 2 weeks.....

as i've already been called a "water fish" on this forum..... so i didn't want to get ripped off even more..... hahaha

so how does the car feel when the nitrous came on?

Try the full meaning of NOS.

"Damn, your Nitrous Oxide Systems, Inc. is so strong! I can feel myself being pushed into the seat when you press the Nitrous Oxide Systems, Inc. button. Dammit. Do the Nitrous Oxide Systems, Inc. again. I want to feel your Nitrous Oxide Systems, Inc. again. Race that guy. I bet he doesn't have Nitrous Oxide Systems, Inc. and will lose to your Nitrous Oxide Systems, Inc.-equipped car. If you use Nitrous Oxide Systems, Inc. often, does the Nitrous Oxide Systems, Inc. damage your engine?"

yes i realise that, thanks to moives like fast and furious

my point is that people are ignorant to what NOS actually is, or even how it works! YET they will still continue to talk about it and heaven's forbit give advice about it!

As both myself and Justin pointed out, why wouldn't the engine handle it....it's not a magic substance that will make your engine blow up and quicker than equilevent modifcations.

that shop is pretty dodgy.....

why you say that?

specR is quite a respected tuning shop in hk. you will find a lot of cars tuned by them in option mags and vtec club vcd's etc

but i gota admit their prices are quite steep, not for the faint hearted

i dont think putting a nitrous kit in a jazz is such a bad idea but i have not seen it in a jazz tho.

a small simple dry 50hp kit, from NOS or Nitrous Express would be the go. i dont own a Jazz but i have thought bout it.

Can check out the NOS website for the installation pic, pretty much standard for its nozzle position as you have to insert it in your intake pipes before the throttle boby. Not so sure if the jazz have fuel return line, but you can always get the wet type for both injecting the fuel & nitrous mixes into your engine, thus getting enough fuel without relying on the air sensor and ecu for its fuel needs. Correct me if i`m totally wrong folks!
