how often should change transmission oil?

I have found it's hard downshift from 3rd to 2nd some times, and also it is bit tigter when i change gear( like got more friction or something) , has done 5k since last service, should i change oil now???

I watched the DVD on VTEC and the Technical Director of Spoon said to change the transmission oil at every engine oil change...

From the manual i have the usual service for manual transmission fluid is every 40,000kms - or every 8th oil change it seems...More often ofcourse if u track/mash gears or just paranoid :)

Ditto. Just changed mine yesterday after a year (approx 10,000km)... still clear as, no debris inside nothing.

ive read about changing the transmission oil, is there any chance that someone
knows of a guide with picture of how to change the gearbox oil for a dc2r??

because lately ive been feeling a bit of extra difficulty in changing gears

i got my mechanic to change the tansmission oil and now its harder to shift down to 2nd and 1st, how could this be?
and shouldnt this be in the technical section?

do u change the oil for manual transmission or is it only for automatic

ATF and MTF should be changed at the same intervals - at a bare minimum every 40,000kms - but more often the better.

thats right, the good book says 40000kms,
alot of honda dealers do it every 20000kms aswell

my personal experience told me that Honda Factory gearbox oil are the best.....

I change once a year and use Honda MTF :D
