There are a few bodykits available, but in most people's opinion, don't enhance the cars looks.

The best thing you can aim for is a clean look, a very well presented example of a 3rd gen, will win alot more votes than one with heaps of bolt on mods. Keep the paint clean, even concider a respray. Get a small drop, dont have it scraping. Dark window tint, and concider removing the spoiler.

Alot of the S1 owners go for the look of removing the orange colours from their front and side indicators.

If you do all this you should have a very sleak looking car.

Just to let you know, going from red to black won't be cheap... It will be like a $6000+ job, if you want it done properly, and if you don't do it properly, than it will look bad.

What do you want out of the car? Or are you just pooring money into it. Have a set goal were u want to go, if you really want a black 3g, sell yours and buy one. Save yourself alot of money.

thats correct^

a colour change is not as simple as a quick rub back and a new colour over the top. if you want it to look professional, you need to have nearly all of the paint rubbed back, and the insides of the doors, boot, and engine bay resprayed. that means taking out your engine to do the engine bay - this is to makie the car look original. it will cost you $$$ and lots of them.

either that, or have a car that doesnt have matching paint, and resembles something that has been modified in your backyard. you dont want that now do you......

i have a friend that is a spray painter by trade and he said he can prob do the job for bout half the price of normal if i can find the paint my self so he wants only about half of the cost for the labour so do u think it would be cheaper buyin a black 1987 prelude then getting it resprayed???

Just note, alot of the opinions expressed here were done assuming you had a 3rd gen, not a 2nd...

A proper respray is a major job, especially when a colour change is involved. 2nd gen's are reasonably cheap cars, why do you want to spend the car's value on getting a colour change?

mate as long as ya happy at the end of the day wif wat you've done to ya car thats all that matters..all i'll say is not to expect to make a profit of respraying your car....but like you said if it needs resprayin do it mate
