His question is why are jdm stronger if they are all made in the same place? (I think)

you mean WHY do JDM engines have higher power readouts than other honda engines ?
AFAIK most if not all honda engines are exactly the same inside out , just varibles such as ECU settings and availible fuel RON help "JDM" engines produce slightly more HP than our local versions.

perhaps, but what about parts like the b series JDM 4-1 header, which is an upgrade to our local stuff? Don't some JDM engines also have a higher compression ratio than our local engines?

i have always thought that it was other countrys restrictions relating to power to weight (government thinks B18C engine is too powerful for the weight of the integra), emission, and so on. that is why imports that travel to NZ are non restricted because NZ has not as harsh compliances for cars cos they dont have factories building them over there. ??? we do i.e australian assembled japanese cars toyota mitsubishi, and australian made and built cars holden and ford which keeps economy better in australia. juz a guess, government dont want sick lil 4cyl hondas ripping up there beloved holdens and fords (its a pride thing)

Isnt it cos our standard fuel (92) is crapper than jap standard fuel , thus theirs is tuned for their better quality fuel

Yup cos most countries don't get 100ron, but we do now!!!
Maybe we will see more JDM style cars soon!
