euro is considered as luxury cars..
still dont understand why do you want to track them.

with euro's price, you can choose from many turbo/sport car that more suitable to go to track.

To me, the Euro is considered a sporty family car. I don't think it can be considered luxury yet. Mercedes is luxury. Euro is a competitively priced car.

I agree with aaron. The Japanese track their TSX all the time, it's just a different market. I'd be interested if any1 has tracked their's as well.

The Sunday Telegraph describes the Euro as "the drivers choice" out of the two Accords. The fact that people put bigger brakes, CAI's, bigger wheels and tyres and firmer ride control on Euros more than the "Wide Body" Accord indicates that the customers think the same.

I would never do track work in mine, but i can see why people want to. Hell if people put Statesmans' and Caprices down the qtr mile in 11sec, whats wrong with track work in a Euro :!:

It would be unusual for someone to buy the Euro to track it all the time (although you could - strip out the interior and you save 200kg). There is nothing wrong with using it as a track car - it does quite well- Baboo from what I hear was beating turbos in Qld.

As for "other" cars more suitable - the driver makes a bigger difference - car selection for the occassional track day is not that important. You can still have heaps of fun and learn car control in a Datson 120Y.

In the US, the TSX is also tracked in the SCCA championship. They put it alongside the RSX Type S, so it is quite competitive. Also, Honda only has 3 cars with full double wishbone/multilink suspension now. The Accord, S2000 and Legend. And out of those 3, the Accord is the cheapest to buy, strip and prep for track. They can buy 2 Accords for the price of 1 S2000.

I reckon I can do a 1:16 around wakefield park in an auto trip shift. Hopefully prove it in the come'n weeks.

Should be fun.

Haven't seen a Euro on the track yet, but seem one doing the Ian Luff Advanced Driving course. And i must say, the Euro really impresses me with the timing he got. (it's a auto one) Hence, i would say a Euro is definitely up to the scratch for tracking.

you can track any car, and the euro is defintiely more than capable to hold it's own against other cars on the track. baboo used to hold ss commodores and e36 m3's at bay with his track prepped euro, it mightn't seem the best choice of car on first impression but serioulsy it does have the potential!

In a recent episode of Fifth Gear, they featured a 24hr race in britain. The Euro won its class, fair enough it was a Type S (i think) but it was against 3 other Rx8's!!! Engine and gearbox were fairly standard although the car itself was stripped.

So the euro does have a fair bit of potential.

It was the Euro R. Full stock except for a stripped interior, suspension and brake upgrades and of course, racing tyres.

MKI4EVA - my mate is bringing his Euro to Circuit club, it is manual and has street tyres.

yes, i reckon, he just bought 'federal tyres' = not enough to cope with proper track racing...

he scrubbed the OEM ones out in less than 20'000km!

I've tracked mine, it's certainly a very good handling car on the track. Some cars that managed to catch up with me were a Porsche Turbo and an HSV. I've had a thread in the Track section if you want to read. Couldn't be bothered looking it up.
