are the subs Dual voice coils?
But the factor u need is whether it'll suit your amp? They will both sound the same, not louder, just gives u more flexibility to suit the amp u are going to use.
What amp are you going to use?

2 or 4 Ohm doesn't produce "more" base. It's the impedence in which the sub and amp will run together. Not all subs can run at 2ohms. Monoblock amplifiers run at 2ohms so if you don't buy a Dual Voice coil sub or a 2ohm sub (majority of Subs that you buy run at 4ohm) you will only be getting half the power from the amp.
For example:
If you run a Kicker 04KX400.1 Monoblock amplifier, rated at 400wrms @ 2ohm and ran a Kicker C124 Sub, which handles 150wrms and is a 4ohm sub, you'd only get 200wrms from the Kicker Monoblock amplifier as the impedences don't match.
All in all, either 2ohm or 4ohm doesnt give you "more" bass. You just need to match up your amplifier and sub.

ok so your sayin i should go out and buy a fusion powerplant monoblock amp so it will suit my sub and using my kicker amp for my speakers

it doesn't have to be a fusion powerplant.
it could also be other brands.
also depends how much your willing to spend on a amp.

up to about $1000 if needed

It all depends on the power rating of the sub.

show us the specs of ur amp

if i'm not mistaken i think u never mention whether ur sub is dual voice coil 2ohms or 4 ohms ...........because thats make a lot of the different

the sub is a 900 watt rms dual voice coil 2 4 and 8 ohm and the specks for the amp are 175 watt rms by four or 400 watts rms into two or 1200 watts rms into one

the fusion powerplants arent 900 RMS, the 12" are 450 RMS i think (correct me if im wrong) or somewhere near that, if ur getting 400rms into 2 channels with ur amp which i doubt u are unless u got a realli expensive amp, then i suggest u do that and leave the other 2 channels for speakers or something...
BTW: a powerplant has 2 voice coils at 4ohms, if u put them in parallel u get (1/4 + 1/4 ) ^-1 which is 2ohms, if in series 4 + 4 u get 8 ohms...
and its better to run them at 2ohms u get more power...

i think u need to check up your specs
cause the KX350.4 specs are:
90 x 4 at 2 ohm
175 bridged at 4 ohm
and im not even sure if this WRMS?
And this is not enough to power a powerplant, well it is but it'll put alot of strain on the amp.
If i was you i would buy Response monoblock 800WRMS at 1ohm
therefore you would get the 2ohm Fusion Sub, wire the voice coils in parrallel and you got one loud sub, but im not sure if the sub could hand that power, but its fusion powerplant sub, so i expect it should handle that power, if not get the 4ohm so that u can wire it for 2ohm and thatll give u much more flexiblity with many amps, including the 150WRMS reponse amp.
But because u mention that u have a budget of 1000 for an amp, there are plenty of good amps out there, maybe a DD M1?

it is watt rms and my kx305.4 was tested by kicker and they uped output they said and it was bought for $569 and i got my fusion sud re magnetised to 900 watt rms by a fusion cutom rebulid
