Prelude is still quicker on the road. A stock Integra VtiR is not faster anywhere than the prelude. Was something I made sure of when I bought the car, first day I had the car, I was running a 'teg, and it wasn;t faster. In the twisties or in a straight line.

I smashed the last civic VtiR I dragged. Was a coupe, and was down the Princes highway at St Peters. Had altezzas and a fart can muffler. I thought it was a VTi, until he went thru a red light and I saw the VTiR badge.....

from my stock vti-r experience there was approximately 2/3's of a gnats dick between the prelude and integra in outright, straight line speed.
however, the prelude feels much quicker and for everyday driving it is. the beauty of cubic inches.

afaik, both cars pull the same mid-low 15's at the strip.

i don't know wtf is up with jon's car. he's just got the mad skillz y0.

There are a few variables though when it comes to the two. Age is one, tyre condition is another. Small things make a difference

on a more serious note. if your clutch is slipping, then i'd be inclined to look at that rather than the tyres. i say that because my experience with the a539's was very good.
however, i have absolutely no substance to backup my statement :)

are you getting huge ammounts of wheelspin on the launch? i remember watching you go twice and both times it was your clutch slipping and not the tyres...

IMO a DC2 VTiR would be more "versatile" for "speed" in all forms, but i'd be a little biased. As Matt has mentioned, a Prelude with good suspension components would go hardcore!

so...what i dont get is...to FURTHER confuse everyone and everything....
I beat 3 cars so far out of about 5 drags with teh mighty stocky Si. Decimated vti (tee hee) , beat gti and 2 vtirs ...all of which where more modded than my car .....but i was driving with slipping clutch , STOCK 185 rubber with about 2% grip ,dying dizzy etc etc. Yet I won.
It dosent matter if i come back tommorrow with all the bits fixed etc - im sure my car will be quite abit faster and more liking driving :)

But...the saying goes (as said before)

And 8 year old b16 thats sat siezed for past 6 years...plus "brent CAI piping + hiflow catback+ dodgy $75 header, WONT be 120+ kw.

How can you draw the conclusion that a vtir prelude is faster than a vtir integra based on this one integra u ran.
You can argue all day about who you beat and so on, but some cars just come out of factory with more power/faster than others. Good example is joneblaze's gsi or those R's at dyno day 1.
And due to the fact that these 2 cars are so closely contested, it may come down to a number of factors such drivers skill.
BUT the fact of the matter is that the prelude is not as fast as the integra according to honda on paper.
You should regard information from honda themself, not some brain dead idiot that talks alotta shit.

It is more than possible. If a modified Prelude can do it, so can an Accord. There used to be a very hot Accord where I live that muched SS's and pretty much anything. A gen 5 accord, H22, high comp pistons, and mugen bits galore. It was a serious weapon.

Until he went too fast, had a police chase, and wound up around a tree. Nothing left of either him or the car
