Reading here and there on the blue EG hatch with the K20A all motor, and it did (in an oldish magazine) 12.8 or so.
With a 106mph terminal speed.
What 60 foot time did it do?
Isn't 106 mph too slow for a 12 second FWD?

^^posted when the car ran 12.3-4 @109 I think. Have a look in that thread, bunch of other cars posted there that ran low 12's with mph around the 107-110mph mark

so wats the difference between say a dc2 type r motor and putting a k20a into an eg civic. would they be as quick as each other down the quater? i always thought they made the same power if not more from the b18c ..

b18c will not be as powerful as the k20a when modified.

LOL.. it sounds like you are sick of trying to discuss this with people Yonas.
i wanna hear this car with the trumpets on. That would be the sweetest sound u could ever hear :D

id love to see this car at the tracks if i was in syd

K-series is the way of the future guys and it has a lot more potential than the b-series IMO. Yonas' results speak for themselves.

220-230hp@wheel.

So power wise it's nothing extraordinary?
I mean it's good for NA and all.

What makes it so quick? Good gearing, launch, driver and minimal weight?

Thats a JAP SPEC K20A(160kw@fly) not AUSSIE SPEC K20A(147kw@fly) right Yonas?

So the JAP SPEC K20A wins hands down all over the B18C for this setup. a K20A modified with bolt on mods only, the engine is still internally stock from memory.

Another thing is the light weight fully stripped interior of the light weight EG civic hatch
2115pounds = 959kgs (including the driver so say the driver weights between 55-65 kogs) the car weights around 900KGs ONLY with a 170kw at the wheels that is CRAZY!

you are correct , EGk20a is 900 kg
im 60kg .
to get 900 kg , stock hood was used , all factory windows etc.
no ac , no ps , 1 race seat left on the car , light weight suspension etc.

do u get big wheelspin problems? also, when its street driven is the trim put back in the car ie. passenger seats etc.

big wheel spin does not = 1.7 60 foot times ;)

practice makes perfect.
