View Full Version : Will B18A a/c compressor fit B18C???

hi guys im trying to get my hands on an ac compressor for my b18c 94 model integra!

i was wondering if anybody knew off the top of there head, if i could get one off an integra 90 model i think they have a B18A!!! you know the older shape one!

No, different compressors internally, even if it did fit onto your 94 a/c bracket. I believe they have different pressure hose fittings and reciever/driers(the a/c filter).

Do you know if you have R12 or R134 a/c gas in your car?? A 94 GSi or VTi-R a/c compressor will be your best bet.

it will fit,

you can retrofit your AC system,

flush out the oil, and replace it with the correct oil for the refrigirant used. then regas

it will be fine

I know he can retro-fit to R134 from an R12 system. The internals are different and even tho it will bolt on, the TX valve and reciever drier is designed to work better with later model A/C compressor. Plus they are a MUCH better design than B18a design.
I suggest you have all the 'O' rings replaced, whole system evacuated, oiled and regassed with R134 for best reliability.
