yeah cos they are quoted to make 147kw at the engine, i'm guessing around 105-115 atw

This is something I have lots of expert skills in, the k20 dc5 aust spec car is a fantastic combination, the engine responds very well to modifications, stock form totally with stock exhaust and stock intake around 96 to 100kw on a dyno dynamics dyno. As soon as you start doing the intake, the power starts to shoot up even modifying the standard air box removing the restrictor is a great way to produce more power everywhere.
Check out these DC5 dyno graphs of various modifications

These should give you a nice over view of what modifications the k20 engine likes and what power to expect.

yup 96kw - 105kw i would say

Yeap that's about right kenji, depending on the condition.

Mine with just a custom cat-back and modified airbox pulled 108atw.

wow.. judging by those pics a hondata is really worth it.
would like to know what header this car is using.. very impressive considering that's his only mod http://www.hondatech.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=215

My friend has Type S and I think he got around 110kw at the wheels..
After changing just intake and cat-back he got a 18kw gain at the wheels..

pretty impressive improvement..

a type s only puts out 110kw? and they're rated at 154kw at the fly? I thought a stock euro with 140kw at the fly put down about that?

A good estimate is about 30% power loss through drivetrain from the engine. So if theyre 147kw at the flywheel it would about 100kwafw.
