Hey all...

I have problem with my air conditioning...
Everytime I turn it on on idle the rpm drops down to 500 and slowly goes back up to normal... Sometimes it drops more and the whole car trembles like its about to stall... ~~;
This happens everytime I come to a stop..

Anyone know what the problem might be... It's getting hotter these days and I need my a/c to be working for the coming summer..

any ideas will be great
thanks all

bring it to my mechanic, my old EF9 use to do that.
feels like the car will die when I am at the lights.

I think he adjusted something and regas my a/c and it works fine after that.

what type of engine do you have in you civic
EFI, dual carb, single carb, Si , SOHC

diffent setup could be a diffent problem.

anyway it all points to the EACV, may not be fucntioning properly to compensate for the dropped RMPS

any engine lights come on you dash recently ???

Electronic Air Control Valve.
it regulate air flow past the TB to adjust idle speed, what ECU are you using

I have the ITR ECU...

Would that mean I need to replace the EAVC??
Or can it be fixed??
How can I check and where is it located...

Thanx ECU-MAN..

you should never just replace a part because you think its faulty ( unless you have a spare one or access to a FREE one to test ) as this gets expensive in the long run with disapointing results.

you should have your EACV diagnosed as faulty just before replacing it. could be a dirty TB, just dont know.
