would it be really difficult to swap dc5r jap spec brakes onto dc2r? I have never looked under a dc5 so i dont know if the setup is interchangeable. I doubt it, but nice big brembos on a dc2 would be nice. They are pretty cheap compared to big brake kits etc. thats why im asking.

I think you can fit them..

But you need bigger wheels to get clearance and also need to change the bracket for the calipers to be fitted.
You will need to change the discs as well.. if you get the discs off the DC5 then it will make it easier..

would i need to change any sussy components though or replace hub etc? Also, would i be able to get the bracket to hold the caliper off another car or will i have to get somthing done custom?

Wouldn't need to change sussy components..
Depends on which disks you use I guess..
The dc5 discs are larger than the dc2...
You could either get aftermarket discs that fit your existing hub, but if you use the dc5 discs I think you may need to change the hub as well.. not 100% sure on the sizes and all that for dc5

how about the brackets that hold the caliper? How much bigger is the dc5 caliper?

Just get good discs and pads if you want better braking..
And if you still want more change to braided line, good brake fluid and change the master cylinder..
the list above will give you a significant improvement in barking

I reckon the DC2R barkes are good and strong just as stock..
