anyone know how to build such device??

ideally it should only disable the alternator under full throttle...

do you mean at a selected RPM or just full throttle?
you wish to do this to gain more power?
or other resons?
things like this exist for A/C but that runs of a clutch to activate it on and off

for the HP increase i really doubt its worth the time and effort !

the only way you could get a HP inclease is if it had no belt
even still it would be nothing
its pretty much an idel pully spinning

exactly^^

if it helps, u can get lightened pulleys

you would have to retrofit an electromagnetic clutch from an a/c compressor to the alternator. After that, it wouldn't be too hard to do.

Wrong.... When a generator produces and electric current (by have work done on it) the electric current produces a magnetic field in the opposite direction to oppose the work done.

Thus, by switching off the cicuit, no current is produced therefore no opposite magnetic field. Thus u will only be working against friction (not too much) and not this magnetic field (which is ALOT)

.... simple physics really:p:p

they did this once in a hot4's magazine and they goy about 2KW at the wheel increase, if you really want to do it just put a switch in the wire marked S or IG thats on the plug on the alternator.

there are a few cars that have the alternator controlled by the computer, in that when they rev hard the current to the rotor is limited making less load on the engine small as it is

every kw counts especially if it can be done cheaply...but i need detailed instruction on how to do it...

mate if you get it wrong and your battery doesn't charge you might be left to jump start the car!

Why not try taking power steering belt off that might be better at least you can still steer

coz i want pwr steering to stay...

You will find, that your EK Civic already has such a device... It was actually what prompted the Hot4s article way back in 2000 or something. Under full throttle and full load, the ECU will cut the Alternator input signal from the diode packs and therefore disable the Alternator...
The fact you probably haven't noticed you already have this device, proves how much power it makes...SFA
