i think you may have to remove the whole door panel
PERTH_EURO (timbo) has had his changed with eclipse ones or focals i think...not sure
he took apart the whole door panel to change it and whilst it was out, fitted the inside with some sound deadening dynamat material

There are guides on removing the Euro's door panel. I've got one TSB at home for the TSX too. I'll post it up here later.

If your going to be using aftermarket speakers, then you will need some spacers to make them fit.

Stock speakers are tiny, the aftermarket ones have much larger magnets which require more room behind them hence the mdf spacer.

If your going to be installing componenets your going to have to locate a spot for the tweeter too, and the crossover.

One other point, if your going to upgrade speakers then sound deaden your door while ur at it, its well worth it.

Its well worth the money to get a pro to do it, if you have no clue about speakers, a good installer will charge about 200 - 300 to install them. JB Hi Fi is not considered a good installer

Oh.... yeah i think i will need a spacer to fit it ay...

The reason why i don't wanna ask those "pros" to install it for me is because i just want some replacements and not going to do anything more than that so i don't want to do those sound deadening material thingy

I will be happy if i know how to get access to the speaker cos i used to install it by myself and it is not a hard job to me :-D

Ahh... found this link in my office computer. A step by step removal guide for changing speakers plus photos. http://www.chrishorne.com/gallery/TSXspeakers

Remember to tape down the speaker harness properly or it will give you a new rattle!

yep i have fitted dyn audio 240gts and they did need a ring spacer.

No need to pay a shop, pretty easy to do really.

Just be careful and gentle removing door skin, but its not hard

Yes requires a spacer I have MB Quarts Splits front and 6x 9's rear... I had the OEM tweeter replaced with the MB Quart sounds really clear.
