God what I'd give for some money!!!....There's nothing I don't like about the '06 Euro R with full Mugen "bling".....including the DC5R style wing.....I'm even tempted to forget getting my DC Header fixed and just get the Mugen Header and Cat combo!!!!.....who am I kidding....that's not going to happen ;)

Big question mark as to whether it fits the 03-05 Euro - I like it! I always thought the previous grill had too big a hole.

We can only dream of getting a Euro R in Oz.....hmmmm 162kW's would be so much fun! (Have to Use Opticrap Extreme) :P

The Mugen items for the powertrain would just make it even better!

awesome stuff! i'm just looking through the mugen site now and wish i could read japanese. The new wheels looks so damn hot, and the new mugen front bar is so nice... surely the front bar replacement would fit the previous models?

not from what I can see - those fogs are HID though!

The only dissapointing part of the Mugen kit is the wing - it is so 80s.

Sorry YFIN I want the wing.

lol go for it peekay  As long as you know that some people (like me) laugh when cars not capable of travelling at 300kph have a huge wing ;)

I'm sorry - I just find it funny.. Some cars look worse with a wing IMO - the Euro looks best with just a lip (like the old Mugen lip)

At least it will not look as bad as these.

tweigh, i'm pretty sure all the lip kits for the 06 won't fit previous models... the bumper is quite different. The mugen replacement bumper though... i can't see why that wouldn't fit.

I really wanna know if the replacement mugen grill fits aswell, i think it looks better than the previous mugen grill but i'm having my doubts on fitment aswell the grille area looks slightly different

Yeah you are probably right Chris - hood trim is gone completely and hard to say whether the grill is the same fitment - here is a close up of the front of the 06 TSX which looks spot on for the 06 Euro:

I wish....lol I have always wanted one of these rear spoilers have been looking for one designed for the Euro for ages. There was one other company that I found doing it but they won't respond to my emails.

Chris_F
26-11-2005, 03:26 PM
hmmm judging by that close up picture i think there may be an off chance that 06 grills will fit previous models, but having the hood trim on top of these designs would look :thumbdwn:

peekay34, got something else planned hey? make sure you keep us all posted. and i recon if you like the spoiler you should go for it :D

they just model the fog lamp differently.

I have a feeling the entire Mugen front will fit. I think it unlikely that Honda has gone and moved the two mounting pins in the grille section that the front bumper hangs from. Also all the remaining clips under the headlights etc are most likely no different to '03-05. The only sheet metal change is looks to be the elimination of the chrome bonnet strip, but the dimensions and profile of the bonnet seem to be the same. Also there may or may not be a very slight change to the shape of the release catch, and obviously a new radiator cover.

I'm going to haunt the local Honda dealers until they have a '06 on the floor at which point I'll have a very close look and take detailed pics....much to the sales persons disgust no doubt! :D

its really sux how Mugen don't have a presence in Australia like how STI does for Subaru, theres a market for it I'm sure a lot of us on this forum would have optioned some Mugen extra's if they were avaliable at point of purchase...

I wonder if any of the OZHONDA traders might be able find out where we can get these....I don't care if it is a copy as long as it is a good copy.

The 06 Mugen Front lip covers a lot of area... The 06 front bumper looks much better with the Mugen lip spoiler..
WITHOUT front lip to cover the fog area, 03-05 front bumper looks neater than the 06 bumper... (fog area) you know what I mean..

The new Mugen grille (pre-painted) works out to about $340 -- plus shipping, plus GST (when it gets to Australia), plus whatever the importer puts on it, unless you can arrange it yourself...

yfin
11-12-2005, 12:27 AM
Boomplus have updated their website for the 2006 Mugen gear. Keep in mind that some of this stuff may not fit the pre 06 Euro. That rear spoiler is not too bad a price! I thought it would be much more painted.

You'd be much better getting them straight from Japan if you can manage to do so than get them from the US. First of all, you end up paying for 2 lots of shipping (why pay for them to be sent to the US and then to Australia?) and second, the Australian dollar is very strong against the Yen at the moment -- I was reading the other day that they're predicting some really good deals on imported Japanese cars next year because of this.

There must be an Australian trader who deals directly with Japan who can arrange something.

12-12-2005, 10:29 PM
must have that spoiler !!
actually the whole kit looks pretty sweet..

i so hope we can find more info on whther or not these things will fit the 03-05 model..

Just ordered the rear wing on Friday from Revzone in Melbourne as they have contacts that can get Mugen Parts. Cheaper than Boom Plus. Also this site can get them http://www.perfectrun.com.au/. The wing is going to cost less than a grand delivered.

I had a look at the 06 Euro today. Dealership was closed so just saw the outside. An 05 was side by side so the comparison was easy.

Firstly - IMO the 06 Mugen grill will not fit the 03-05 Euro. The stock 06 grill is much wider than the previous models. The gap between the grill and the headlights is significantly smaller.

The headlights on the 06 model are really quite nice. The orange blinker in the headlight is now almost clear and the side of the light has a nice silvery opaque finish.

does anyone else notice the similarities between the 06 mugen front lip extension and the HSV Clubsport front?

Just wanted to add that the new Mugen grill won't fit the 03-05 Euro's stock bumper. The grill size is for that of the 06 and TSX. When 03-04 US TSX owners wanted the 03-04 EuroR grill installed, they had to buy the exact same bumper than our 03-05 AUDM Euros had. So yes, you can fit that grill if you also buy the Mugen or the 06/TSX bumper.

It really sucks that to get these on our cars you have to either know someone, go through a trader. I just wish you could go over the counter and make life a hell of alot easier..i wish Honda sold them.

I like the 05 grille and 06 bumper. I think the 06 bumper flows better to the rest of the car. But too much chrome on the 06 grille (which you can change easily).

stephen8512
27-12-2005, 09:36 PM
05 grille with 06 bumper is basically a Euro R front lip extension
it seems like the 06 bumper tried to replicate the 03-05 euro R front lip extension in a gay way....

Any one has any idea on how much the front under, side and rear under spoiler is gonna cost unpainted and delivered to aus. It doesnt say on the links that were given. Thanks.

I feel like putting the mugen kit with the original grill i think it might look good.
