View Full Version : DC2 ITR speaker size???

I was wonder what the ITR front and rear speaker size was? i measured them and they are about 6". Most after market speakers go from 5.25" - 6.5" which size is better without making mods? the measurements on 5.25" seem about right.

the dc2r speaker size for the front is 6", i think the rear is 6" too but can sum 1 please confirm?

is the actual size of the speaker 6"?
you got 6x9's to fit in the back???

ummm i dunno i have 6.5" rears unless you take out the normal mounting bracket honda supply you cant fit 6x9 in the back casue the mounting bracket isnt oval ??

standard in the front are 6" and rear 6" but you can fit 6.5 in rear

i have got 6" int he front and 6.5" in the back although i am sure its designed for 6" only i had to slightly bend some metal not hard took about 5 seconds...

so 6" front and back also i have 6x9's on the parcel shelf and 2 12" subs in the back

so would a 5.25" be too small?
i was thinking clarion but they dont make a 6".
and in cm the 5.25" are 15.6 in diameter which are similar to the stock ones.
any comments?

both front and back speakers are 6", however the back speakers they are 6" but you have to buy the one with the smaller magnet on it!!!!

The DC2 front and rear speakers are definitely 6 inch. To fit the 5.25 speakers might be a problem as the screw holes won't match.

as everyone is saying the back and front are both 6" , but be warned it is not so easy to do the rears..... its a tight squeeze so be very delicate whilst doing it.

i got boston acousitcs 6.5" splits in the front, and 6" in the back
it fits yo...nothing is impossible with a lil DIY lol

I was under the impression that the 5.25" and 6" speakers had the same holes??? someone plz confirm??? I'm prettys sure it wont be too much of a problem getting em in there....

Either way, you should go a 6" over a 5.25"...you'll notice a louder and deeper bass note. Should be close to the same price too...
