Instrument Panel - Removal???

Hi

Does any one know how to remove the Instrument Panel frame on a 88 Prelude??? Please help me.

I have the Prelude repair manual, where it shows to just undo the screws - 3 at top underneath & the 2 that are behind the dimmer & headlight switches - it should just be a matter of pulling it away after that to unclip the wires for the demister/cruise control etc.

However, I pull & pull, but it just doesn't want to come off - there is resistance at the top end. Is there clips? Are there more screws on the inside? Feels like i'm gonna brake it if I pull any harder !

If any one has experience with this.....please help me :)

i think the secrews you are talking about only undo the cover around the cluster.
try to get the cover off first,
to actually remove the cluster there are secrews around the top i belive. its been a log time since i played with a 3g but i removed mine a few times with no problems.

heres a link that will have a work shop manual in it, its will tell u exactly where every screw bolt and nut is to pull ya whole car apart
