I just got my Gram Lights - 57s yesterday from Yonas (thanks dude) but now I'm needing some tyres.

I have an EM1 and the Rays website says for EP3s to get 205 wide and 45 series tyres. The wheels themselves are 17"x7.5" and I was thinking to get 215/40 series, would they fit ok?

What other suggestions do you guys have?

i don't think the 215s will fit in under the guard without rubbing. 205 just fit in mine

I'm assuming 215 may fit under the guard depending on the offset.
I was rubbing with 215/40, no more rubbing with 205/40, this is with +35 offset 17x7.

205/40/R17 tyres will give u about the exact diameter of the OEM wheels. also, 215/40 tend to scrap guards and need the rear to be lipped.

if the car has been lowered or not. 17x7 is going to touch the insides when you lock your steering wheel in a full turn. for the honda civic 17 inch the optimum tire profile size is 35.
i had 215/45 16" on my previous eg breeze and they too touched on full turn.
was running a TIEN coilover track suspension

17*7 rims will not touch anything on full-lock steering. but it also depends on offset, size of tyres etc. 205/40/R17 is also very popular size and easy to find/buy
